In this introductory workshop, you will use a 12-inch triangle loom to learn the “continuous weave” technique in which the warp is created as you weave. This technique is used on all sizes of triangle looms as well as other shapes. Some finishing and joining techniques will also be presented as well as instructions for a basic scarf made from small triangles. On a less tangible level, Zann hopes to share her delight in small loom weaving, as well as her enjoyment of the creative challenge of combining it with other fiber techniques.
Students should bring scissors and a crochet hook (size 3.5 or 4.0.)
Required Basic Knowledge: Knowledge of simple tabby weave (think potholder looms!) will be helpful but not required. Basic crochet skills (chain, slip stitch, single crochet) would also be helpful for project construction.
